About the #WeLoveWorcester Photo Contest
Launched on June 29, 2020, the #WeLoveWorcester Photo Contest encouraged locals and visitors to show their Worcester pride while supporting small businesses safely.
Entry Rules
1) Take a photo of you or a willing participant in a mask showing support for a Worcester business.
2) Share your photo with the hashtag "#WeLoveWorcester" on Facebook*, Instagram, or Twitter.
How to Win
Weekly Photo Entries will end each Sunday at 11:59 PM. Entries are accepted starting Monday June 29, 2020 until Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 11:59 PM.
One weekly winner will be announced the following Monday by 12 PM on our Facebook*, Instagram and Twitter feeds and receive $25 cash.
Weekly winners are chosen by us based on 1) Following the Entry Rules 2) Creativity.
The four photo finalists will be chosen by us on August 31, 2020. All weekly entries are automatically entered into the Grand Finale.
Grand Finale winner of $1,000 cash will be chosen by public vote August 31, 2020 - September 7, 2020 and announced on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 by 12 PM.
The last weekly contest entry deadline is Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 11:59 PM. Any entries received after this time will not be accepted in the last weekly photo contest or entered into the Grand Finale contest.
How to Claim Your Cash
Your photo must be public to enter*. You have 48 hours from the time we notify you to claim your cash prize and give us your full name and mailing address. If you do not respond within that time frame, another winner will be chosen.
FAQ's
Do I have to wear a mask?
Yes. You must be wearing a mask and following the latest Massachusetts COVID guidelines to be eligible.
Can I take a photo of a friend?
By submitting a photo of someone besides yourself into the contest you are entering yourself into the contest, and you must have their permission.
Does the photo have to be taken in Worcester?
Your photo must show how you have supported a Worcester business and you must wear a mask. For example: If you live outside of Worcester, you had a Worcester business deliver goods to your home, and you take a photo using that product, it is eligible.
